I cannot believe how much I have lucked out. I have been given the chance to go to Couer De Alene, Idaho – fully paid for and stay in a beautiful house for two nights.
We drove for three hours to Missoula (a town that has been on my bucket list since arriving in Dillon). In Missoula we saw people, shops, buses and beautiful scenery. This was the first time in a while that we sat in a busy, trendy coffee shop with fast WiFi and were able to people watch. Here, I had an amazing herbal tea (rooibos tisane).
It was the dream, this coffee shop had all herbal teas imaginable.
We rode a free bus and got a town tour. Missoula is huge in comparison to Dillon. The stroll along the river was beautiful.
Missoula has the best of both worlds, it is surrounded by stunning mountains, rivers, trees and also has attractions typical of a small city.
After our stop in Missoula, we were on the road for another three hours before arriving in Idaho. The drive through the mountains was gorgeous, we saw lush trees – a mixture of green and yellow pines (fall colours). The sun was shinning and the scenery fabulous.
Once we arrived in Couer De Alene a tasty Thai meal was on the cards. On reaching the house, I was ready to relax. So ran a hot bath and to my amazement realised it was a jacuzzi too.
As I’m writing this post from my comfy double bed I am feeling super chilled and lucky.
